These are just some of the conclusions contained in the "Analysis of the reports of the State Audit Institution in connection with the work of local self-government and territorial autonomy," which was presented to the participants of the conference "Improving public financial management at the local level" in Belgrade's Sava Center.

 Palilula Municipality of Niš, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the City of Nis, in collaboration with members of the Emergency Situations Ministry and the Traffic Police, the Council of the citizens, and the combiners from the territory of Palilula, organized in Nis Cultural Center an operating agreement regarding the upcoming harvest of small grains 2014.About this agricultural activity spoke Ljubisa Stojanovic, deputy head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the City of Nis, Ivan Petković, Associate Board and coordinator of this year's harvest and Boban Džunić, president of Municipality of Palilula.

 At the invitation of Mr. Atanas Krstin, Consul General of Consulate of the Republic of Bulgaria in Nis, president of City Municipality of Palilula, Boban Džunić, and his associates talked with representatives of the consultant's firm, "Yotov Consult" which successfully implements international projects and connects the cities and municipalities in the region. About references, project ideas supported by the European Union and the possibilities of partnership, spoke Georgi Yotov, manager of the consultant's firm in Bulgaria.

"NIŠAVSKA REGATA" A SIGNIFICANT TOURISM POTENTIAL

 Winner of the18th Nisavska regatta, which is supported by the city's municipality of Palilula, Pantelej and Niska Banja, arranged Safari Club Nis, is the crew of "Nesic elektroniks". Vice-champion of this year's Regatta is the combined crew of "South Morava 2" and Municipality of Palilula, and third place went to the crew "Srle". Stock stages of the speed safari regatta, from D.Vrežina Amphitheatre on the quay at the Youth Centre, 5 kilometers long, competitors crossed in less than an hour. Most successful teams of the competition were awarded with trophies and all participants in the race were served with fish soup.

VEGETABLE SEED FOR LAZAREVAC

 Palilula Municipality continued its humane mission of providing assistance to cities and municipalities that have suffered major damage during the floods. This time, assistance in the form of vegetable seeds and ornamental plants, was sent to the City Municipality of Lazarevac.The seed is provided according with the Agreement on donation with"Semenarna Kop" from Petrovaradin - a business unit of Nis. According to Boban Džunić president of City Municipality of Palilula, this donation of various seeds is intended to a brotherly municipality of Lazarevac. In many ways we are helping flooded areas.

THE MEMORIAL GETS A NEW COMMEMORATIVE PLATE

 Consul General from Consulate of the Republic of Bulgaria in Nis, Mr. Atanas Krstin, based on interviews and previously established agreements with Municipality of Palilula, and the Institute for Protection of Cultural Monuments of Niš, informed the president of municipality, at the beginning of the year, about the idea of the Bulgarian Embassy in Serbia to set up a new marble plate in place of damaged-existing plate at the memorial of perished Bulgarian soldiers in the Second World War, in the settlement of Ledena Stena.

 Delegation of German non-governmental organization "Internationale Bund (IB)", which deals with the financing and delivery of a wide range of services in the field of social protection, is staying in Nis during this week, from 11th to 14th June 2014. As part of the visit, a meeting was held in Municipality of Palilula. Representatives of the German organization "Internationale Bund" were received by Boban Džunić, president of Municipality of Palilula.

NATURE WAYS - CLIMATE CATASTROPHES

 The second day of the EKOpolis fest in Nis, was marked-June 5th World Environment Day. In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Ivan Cvetanović, Executive Director EKOpolis network and associate professor at the Faculty of Philosophy in Nis, expressed concern about the state of the planet. "Floods, droughts and heat waves are more common. Major cities in the whole world must prepare for future climate disasters. There is a rapid growth of the population. Our relationship with the living environment is not in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. Unfortunately, these warnings are coming from true experts from several years ago. This spring is also in our country with the passage of natural disasters. Floods and landslides jeopardized many areas. It was a enormous damage. Solidarity with the victims is the exam-stressed Professor Cvetanović.

COUNCILORS REJECTED THEIR DAILY
WAGES IN FAVOR OF FLOODED AREAS

 Council of Palilula Municipality adopted the Decision about the annual budget for 2013. Budget has been realized for 73,25 percent. During the last year, Municipality had income of more than 145 million dinars, while the outcome was 140 million dinars. President of the Municipality Boban Dzunic emphasized that he is satisfied with realized results. Thanks to responsible management, savings and projects, additional resources were provided in the Municipal budget for the purposes for project activities, emphasized the president. At the 11 the Council meeting, new vice presidents of the Municipality president and Municipal Assembly president were elected.

EKOPOLIS FEST BEGINS TONIGHT

 International review of environmental and archaeological film "EKOpolis fest", which for the past eleven years was organized by media ecological network of Serbian-EKOpolis, is starting tonight, Wednesday 4th of June 2014 at 19:00 pm in the Amphitheatre of the Faculty of Philosophy in Nis. This event is unique in culture, traditionally organized in the week marking the city's celebration of "Sv.Car Konstantin i Carica Jelena," and the World Environment Day, under the auspices of Palilula municipality-City of Nis. The program of the Festival is designed with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute, Goethe Institute, Embassy of the Polish Ministry of Culture, the global environmental campaign "Clean up the World", the National Museum in Belgrade. Dragan Vidojković, artistic director of the Festival, has announced that 11th EKOPOLIS fest in Nis and Aleksinc, of 8 June 4th is going to present 23 films from 7 countries.

INTERNATIONAL REVIEW OF ENVIRONMENTAL AND
ARCHAEOLOGICAL FILM HAS STARTED

 Marking this year's urban celebration "Sv.Car Konstantin I Carica Jelena" in Nis, the event was enriched with traditional film event "EKOpolis fest" in 2014, which opened at the Faculty of Philosophy in Nis. Program of the International festival of ecological and archaeological film was prepared by the Media Ecological Network-Ekopolis Serbia, under the auspices of Municipality of Palilula. Promotion of the film was preceded by a small celebration. The welcome speech of Mr. Rizgar Rencera, envoy of the Ministry of Culture of Kurdistan and addressing pof.dr Vladimir Radovic, president of the Council of 11th Ekopolis Fest, were greeted on behalf of the sponsors of the participants by Dragan Vidojković, artistic director of the Festival.

REFLEXES OF BYZANTIUM

 12th annual exhibition of artists members of Multimedia artists association `Car Konstantin` organized with the title Reflexes of Byzantium 2014 was opened on June 2 in Nis Gallery `Pavilion` Fortress. Organizer of this year exhibition was Palilula Municipality. `Within the programme of celebration of the Saint Day of City of Nis, Palilula Municipality in cooperation with organizations of civil societies and institutions organized many manifestations. The exhibition of the artists was only one of the activities of the Municipality. Today we live in hard conditions, Serbia is on the way to integration processes for the reception into the membership of EU.

SUCCESFULLY FINISHED REGATTA `TEACHER VIDEN JOVANOVIC`

 After 18 kilometers of forcing Juzna Morava river from village Klisura in Doljevac municipality to Lalinac in Palilula municipality, the participants of First safari regatta Teacher Viden Jovanovic 2014 successfully managed to win all the obstacles showing the skills that rafting demands as one very extreme sport. This regatta was organized by Palilula Municipality in cooperation with Safari Club Nis, Diving Club Gusar, Scouts S.B. Jadran, Associaton for river and lake waters fishery, Office for Youth Palilula Municipality.This activity was supported by the members of the Association Night Wolves- Serbia, Health Center, Nis within the celebration of City Saint Day Emperor Constantine the Great and Helen.
